Chapter 18

I look at my phone and let it go to voicemail. He hadn’t called me all day and only called me because I texted Ashley. My phone beeped signaling a new text message. I don’t bother to read it and just roll over and cry myself to sleep.

I wake the next morning still alone. There was a knock on the door and Dr. Shadow walls in.

“How are you feeling” she asks.

“I feel ok” I say.

“You have been seizure free for a few days. I think we can send u home” she says looking at my chart I want to see u in a week for a follow up” she says.

“Thank you” I say.

“Your nurse will be in shortly with your discharge papers” with that she leaves.

I look at my phone about to call Logan when I see him message from last night.

~Sorry I didn’t make it back to the hospital last night. I had to leave town I will hopefully get back tommorow afternoon. Love you

I didn’t bother to answer him. I call Kate who is my sister in law.
