MIA POV

He pushed my face to the side, refusing to kiss me. The rejection stung deeply, especially when he started to drive right after he swung his face to the side. I relaxed in the passage seat, not saying anything. As much as I wanted to taunt and berate him for what he did, I also could not help it. It was his choice, and he wasn’t in love with me.

The ride to the venue was silent and awkward. The minute we arrived, he plastered the biggest fake smile on his face and reached for my hand. I gave in, plastering a smile on my face too; mine more genuine than his.

I just wanted him to see that I loved him, and I was the perfect person for him. No one else would love him the way that I did.

The venue was beautiful, surprisingly. There was a large white cloth and a projector on the floor, acting as its screen. I looked around for the organizer; I didn’t remember asking for the screen projector to be brought in here. None of the organizers were in sight; they were either fixing somethin
