Chapter.

ARABELLA POV.

The ride back home was sort of silent. I didn’t follow the route of her house, knowing that I wanted to take her home to meet my kids. I wanted to catch up with her and at the same time, reform the friendship between them. If Lily had been suspicious of me all these while, then she had a good hunch.

“What are you doing back here?” she spoke up in silence. “You were dead, Arabella.” She sniffed and continued. “At first I didn’t want to believe that you were dead, but you were! What happened?”

“Can we go to my place and talk?”I asked, knowing that she won’t resist.

Lily nodded. She was sniffing back her tears and I was trying so hard not to cry. Like her, no one knew where Dr. Emma (whom I was posing as) lived, so she’d of course want to see.

When I got home and opened the door, laughter filled the air as the triplets jumped on me. I laughed, circling them in my arms and playing with their hair.
