Bracelet

When she wakes up with a terrible headache, she finds herself in her room, in her bed, lying. With a soft gasp, she sits up, scanning around the room.

" Why am I here?" She whispers to herself before looking at her hands and face.

She isn't dreaming.

Abruptly, she gets off the bed and walks out of the room with a frown on her face. However, she couldn't pass through the doorway when Vincent stands before her with a smile on his face.

" Good Morning!" He kisses her lips and looks at her, " How was your sleep last night? Honey!"

" Mind explaining why I am here?" She asks, voice Icy.

Vincent frowns hearing her cold tone. But instead of responding, he holds her hand and kisses the back of her hand...

" Shall we have breakfast?"

Emma looks at her husband, and then her hand. She pulls it away from his grip and wipes the knuckles where he kissed. She knows what he is doing and what he is trying to do.

" I didn't appreciate you bringing me home. Also I can understand that you stalked my location. However, nothing is changing my decision, Vincent. I will divorce -!"

Her eyes widen in shock and she gasps in pain when he grabs her chin harshly, " Stop it! Emma. You have been throwing me into a tight position where I can't breathe. What's wrong with you? Why can't you be little understanding? Why are you trying to punish me for something I never did?" He mumbles, burying his head on her shoulder... " Stop mentioning about the divorce. You aren't leaving me. We both took the vow together. So there is no one leaving! Understand?"

The grip around her chin becomes stronger, causing her eyes being tearful.

At that moment, Vincent notices her eyes, as tears break through. He immediately retreats his hand, panicking, " I am sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you. I am sorry. Really sorry." He hugs her tightly...

" I am feeling so hopeless. Why are you not trying to understand me? Why are you hurting me? I am really -!"

" Enough!" Emma pushes him away from her and looks directly into his eyes. " You have changed into someone who I never knew before. Vincent. You can lock me, kill me and do whatever you want but... My decision is final. I don't want to stay in this marriage."

Vincent's eyes widen in shock after her declaration. His eyes lower with his hands forming fists.

" Can't we talk about it? Can't we talk it out? I don't want to lose you. I will hear you out. I will try to make things right. Just... Don't say that you want to divorce me!"

" Hearing you out? Why would I? Did you remember what you said on our wedding anniversary? She is your priority. I'm just a selfish bitch who can't see her man with another woman spending days and nights together for three months. I don't have time to hear you out. Sign the divorce papers. We both know what is our priority. I want a Man who will give me his everything. I am selfish and I want a man who can love me with -!"

" There will be no man. Emma!" His eyes sharpen.

Before she could understand what he meant, her attention goes to her wrist when he puts a bracelet on her wrist.

" What is it?" She asks, trying to take it off.

" Nothing. Just there will be no more discussion about divorce and no more talk about man. You are my woman. You should be mine forever."

He said, walking inside the room. "I have decided to have a child together. I think this will help you to come to your sense."

And this is enough for Emma to realize that she is indeed getting trapped in the marriage that suffocates her. She wants to argue, wants to fight but somehow she finds herself standing in the middle of the vast desert with no air and water. Her eyes are blurred by sands but they're dry.

She loves that Man so much. Thinking of living him stings her heart but facing that unfamiliarity in his face, it engulfs her with terror. She doesn't want to be the one who gives her everything in the relationship.

She doesn't want to be his tool... His obsession of so called love.

What's worst -

She doesn't want to bring a child in this broken family. But her chest hurts each of thoughts. Last anniversary, she wished to have a child. But most of the year he was checked out of doing anything. His entire attention was only on the woman... His best friend.
