Prologue

“Do you have the money?”

The wind howled ceaselessly that night as the three figures huddled in the dark behind an alley. It was dark and they were unable to make out anyone’s faces but it was clear who they were speaking to.

The owner of the luxurious car pulled up into the dirty neighborhood and alighted from the car.

The sound of a lighter was heard and soon smoke filled the already polluted air of the night sky. The wind didn’t cease and they knew they had to conclude soon.

“Well?” one of them prompted.

The figure from the car nodded, a sinister smile visible on the lips.

“I have all the cash now, where are the goods?”

The three figures revealed a rather large briefcase that wasn't seen before, each one revealing a toothy grin.

“Great job,” the figure from the car praised as they dropped the briefcase into the car.

The figure pulled a second suitcase out of the car and handed it to them.

“It will be appreciated if everything goes smoothly tonight. You understand that no one crosses me and lives to tell the story.”

The three figures stared at each other, their toothy grin widening.

“You’ll get the best news ever. Just give us the location.”

“Everything you need is in there,” the figure replied and entered the car before driving off at high speed.

Manic laughter left the figure’s lips as the figure drove into the night with only one thought playing on its mind.

They won't know what hit them!

A scream ripped from her throat as she jerked up awake, balls of sweat dripping from her forehead. She hurriedly turned on the bedside lamp and massaged her forehead as her body hummed with underlying sexual tension.

She groaned. This was another dream of her having sex with her boss again. She needed to get her life in order and get laid, she mused.

Her hands located her core and she felt the sticky juice on them. She grabbed the water from her bedside and popped an aspirin into her mouth before gulping the water.

What happened last night? She wondered as her eyes adjusted to the room.

She had dreamt of a sex dream, she mused as she felt movement beside her. In a panic, she whirled around and saw…

Her eyes widened when steel-blue eyes stared at her. Eyes filled with mixed feelings from last night were staring at her with so much hate and disgust.

“So now, you had to drug me and bring me here for your sexual delight.”

His words struck her like a slap and she gaped at him, shocked.

“I did no such thing!” she shrieked.

He rolled his eyes at her as he sat up in bed, naked.

“Yeah, like you would ever lie to me!”

She heard the sarcasm underneath his words but that didn't faze her as much as his naked body under the covers.

She hadn't had a sex dream, she had remembered the sex experience she had with him last night!

Alarm bells went off in her head as she realized her best sex so far wasn't something she could recall easily but it felt all too fresh in her mind.

“We had sex,” she voiced out quietly.

“Yes, smart pants so are you also going to advertise this?”

She suddenly felt embarrassed. All the warmth of last night she had recalled feeling from him was gone leaving a cold-hearted man, just like how he was.

“I didn't set you up,” she explained, “You consented to whatever happened between us!”

He ignored her and stepped out of bed hurriedly dressing up.

“It was just once and trust me it won't ever repeat itself!” he yelled at her.

She sighed. She missed his alter ego, this one was just an annoying asshat!

“Don’t worry it won't happen again,” she concurred.

“Good ‘cause I don't want to see your face around me ever again!” he bellowed.

She knew he was hurt but his words hurt her more so she bit back the tears and smiled brightly at him.

“That makes the two of us!”

He was about to respond when the door was pulled down and three figures entered the room. It happened in a flash, one minute they were arguing the next minute, a gunshot sounded ringing in her ears and silenced her thoughts forever.

Okay, maybe she should start from the beginning before all this happened. Before her life became a freaking telenovela and not the happily ever after one but she was determined to change that, it was after all her story.
