Amnesia

**Alexander’s POV**

I could hear the sound of my blood pumping in my ears as my heart beat frantically against my chest, and I could even feel my head swell from the bitterness of the truth against my tongue.

The harshness of this new crazy reality struck me with full force, and I couldn’t help but feel my heart squeezing with the thoughts that Emily couldn’t recognize me at all!

And in fact, she couldn’t recognize any of the people around.

I heard the loud mumbling amongst the crowd and could see the look of surprise on the ritualist’s face, but none of them mattered, nothing mattered anymore, not even the way my head suddenly felt too heavy on my neck.
