Why did you lie?

**Alexander’s POV**

“Sophia, get the fúck out of my office before I call in security!” I yelled, making her halt immediately.

“You would call security on me?” She asked incredulously, her eyes glazing over with unshed tears.

“Yes, I will,” I said simply, watching her face fall.

She hastily stood up, her face downcast as she threw her garments on. Just when I thought she would walk out of my office, she sat back down on the chair she once occupied.

I made a mental note to change as soon as I could because there was no way I was sitting down there. Who knows, she might have infected it with something.

“Why are you doing this?” She asked suddenly, snapping me out of my train of thought.

"Because of her? Because of Emily? That slave?”

At the mention of the word ‘slave’ my blood boiled in anger.

“She isn’t a slave,” I growled, my voice sounding foreign even to my ears. “Emily is not a slave and has never been one. She’s even of nobler blood than you are, so get out!” I yelled. I noticed
