Desperation

**Alexander’s POV**

Today was another stressfully shitty day. I sat slumped against my office chair, rubbing at my eyes because I had hardly been able to get a wink of sleep for about two weeks now, due to the incessant trouble the rogues attacking my borders were creating.

To make matters worse, they were asking for a truce.

How could they even dare ask for a truce when I was not at war with them in the first place?!

“How many soldiers were killed in the last attack?” I asked my beta, Chad, as he slumped on the sofa.

“None but a few were taken. In the East.” Chad said stiffly.

I believe he was as mad as I was.

“They were abducted, not taken! Taken sounds too light to be used to describe the situation at hand.” Dimitri gritted his teeth.

He clenched his hands and growled. “There are ten missing young soldiers out there! in the hands of those leeches! So, they were abducted!”

“Hey calm down bro, when will you ever stop acting like you are a messiah and everyone else isn’t? I am worried
