"YOU WILL find out everything soon, I promise." Roam stood up and offered me his hand. "Your mother will tell you herself."
Roam's words confused me even more. How could he say that? My mother died before. If she didn't then... I don't know anymore if I could forgive her for leaving us. I suffered since the day she left. Pain consumed me until the only way left for me to escape it was making myself believe she would never return anymore.
My chest tightened as I looked at Roam's hand. I didn't want to believe that my mom was still alive because if she was, then that means I would end up hating her. I don't want that. My mother was too perfect in my memories.
I took in some air and shook my head, my emotions were beginning to suffocate me already. "No. Mom died when I was young."
