IZZY drove the car while Jemimah and I were on the backseat. She was silent since we left Zenios, her eyes were staring blankly outside while her cat was on her lap.
No one dared to talk the entire ride as we left Nirvana District, and when we reached the border, Izzy stopped the car and rubbed his palms on his face.
Worry crossed my face as I observed Izzy. He didn't seem much of himself right now, but I knew there was something else that was bothering him besides what Nimpha and Hymer had done.
A sigh left my lips. I leaned forward and rested my hand on Jemimah's thigh before I spoke. "Let's take a stop in the next town."
Izzy glanced at me through the rearview mirror before he slightly nodded his head. The look on his face began to bother me. Seems like Izzy got some bad news to spill once the two of us were finally alone.
