The Dreadful Separation

Xander's POV

Today I will be handing one of my pups over to the alpha I didn't like at all.  He has been my enemy since I first became Alpha.  He even challenged me to a fight.  He planned to take my pack from me by force.  Luckily I won.  He has been sending his warriors over the border of my territory in attempts at stealing parts of my territory.

Perhaps him getting one of my pups will make him halt his attempts.  I heard a car pull up to the packhouse before I heard a light tap on the door.  "I warned you about keeping that Omega as your mate.  You should have kept her at a safe distance."  Alpha Leo said in his Italian accent.

"Stay out of it Leo.  This is my pack.  Whether or not I accept her as my mate or simply as an Omega is my business.  I don't share what is mine."  I said as I put my daughter into my enemy's arms.  As I watched my enemy walk I felt my son, Levi, walking up behind me.

"Dad where is he taking that baby?"  Levi said.  

"Levi that baby is an Omega.  She can't stay here.  You have two new sisters that are staying here."  I said as I was unsure how I was going to explain this to my young son.

"Okay.  Will she be a Luna like Mama?"  Jackson said as he came up with Marcus behind him.

"No.  Omegas being anything but servents and breeders is rare.  Your mother is so special that the Moon Goddess decided to let her have me for a mate."  I explained.

"When I am Alpha couldn't I let Omegas live like the other wolves in the pack?"  Marcus said after thinking for a short time.

"You could do anything you want when you are Alpha but the other Alpha's could challenge you for your pack,"  I explained.

I didn't know how to explain to my sons that I was giving my daughter to another pack because of something she had no control over.  I thought for a while.  As I did so I led my sons toward the infirmary where their mother and sisters were.  "Marcus, I had to do this.  I can't expect you to understand right now but if we kept her here you would be the one to decide if she was a slave or a breeder."  I tried to explain before we walked into the room.  

"I would have decided to have her be my servant.  I would have made sure she was treated well."  Marcus said as tears came out of his eyes.  Deciding I would change my mind I told my beta to stop the other Alpha and bring my daughter back to me.

"Alright don't say anything to your mother.  Alpha Leo could already be off our territory." I said as I opened the door to the infirmary.

"Alpha we have her.  Alpha Leo didn't put up a fight.  He can't handle the crying."  Quintin said through the mind link.

"Alright bring her to the infirmary.  I will surprise Cassie.  She doesn't know we changed our minds.  Well, Marcus helped."  I said through the mind link.  I sat in a chair in the corner of the room as I watched my eldest three sons talking to their new baby sisters.  After about twenty minutes a knock on the door sounded and Quintin, Martin, and Johnny walked in.  My daughter was in Johnny's arms.

"Hey sis.  I found a baby."  Johnny said after looking at me.

"Cool I had three more babies and I can't keep one,"  Cassie said not taking her eyes off of the babies she had in her arms.  I felt horrible for trying to send Tina away because I promised Cassie that she would be the one to raise all my children.

"Well, I was thinking about calling this one Tina,"  I said knowing that would catch her attention.  She looked up at the baby in her eldest brother's arms and smiled.  Great Moon Goddess, she had the most beautiful smile imaginable.
