Chapter 23: Picnic.

Lucy's pov;

Felicia, the head maid, wasn't even looking at the muddy shoes or the muddy floor, she was apologizing to him for not being here to welcome him back.

Oh !I think I would get fired ,when I haven't even stayed up to a month.

Oh my big mouth.

"I am so sorry sir, I have been mopping the floor since morning. I was just upset that I saw mud on the floor ." I apologized immediately and he narrowed his eyes on me.

"Did something happen sir ?" Felicia asked after my apology, but Mr Desmond didn't reply to her. He was still staring at me...more like glaring.

His glare was intense.

"Why is she here?" He asked Felicia through gritted teeths and I furrowed my brows in confusion.

Did he seem to forget that he was the one that hired me?

He should see I was working.

"I haven't told her about some certain rules sir, I am really sorry she has just stayed here for two weeks." Felicia informed him.

Felicia was an older woman, maybe in her mid 50's so I think she has stayed here long.
