Chapter 24: Grasshopper.

Lucy's POV;

Joseph and Danny got tired of sitting on the blanket on the grass ,so they stood up and began blowing bubbles and chasing after it ,while I watched them with a smile on my face and Desmond was eating the snacks.

I smiled happily ,as I watched them play.

Danny didn't have this much fun at my Stepmom's house, because he had no one to play with at home and my stepmom was always cooking so that was the only thing she did with him when I left him in her care.

"You seem to have gotten wary of me, did I do something wrong?" Desmond asked me out of the blue and I frowned.

"No sir ,you didn't do anything wrong, I just understood that you are my boss and I shouldn't act too friendly towards you." I replied not sparing a glance at him.

"That's why I wanted to apologize for what happened the other day." He said as he cleared his throat.

"There is no need to do such a thing, I understand I crossed a line and I apologized." I replied.
