Chapter 33 Punishment

Punishment When my feet came to a halt in front of the closed door, I hesitated. My back stiffened as I stood frozen on my feet. My grip on the glass of milk became even tighter. I took one more deep breath before opening the door. My gaze was drawn to his oak table right away. He was leaning on his swivel chair, the wine he had been carrying in front of him. He looked up, his hard eyes transfixed in an evil stare. I swallowed hard, feeling as if he was flaying me alive while staring at me. "Please take a seat," he said to the single chair in front of his table. I nodded slightly and followed what he said. I took a sip of milk from the glass before setting it on the table. "What are we going to talk about?" I couldn't stop myself from asking. I stared at him blankly, nervousness coursing through my veins. "I'd like to plan our wedding as soon as possible," he said quietly. I was stunned. My breathing became labored as my body froze. I assumed he was joking earlier, but I didn't think
