I stared at the woods, certain that it was going to be filled with a lot of night crawlers and night-time creatures.

I looked behind me to make sure that no one was following me. I was correct, I was the only one standing at the edge of the woods at that time of the night.

“Perfect!” I grinned before venturing into the woods.

I shifted into my wolf form and sprinted into the woods before shifting into my human form. I could pretend to be weak and attract prey but I was in too much of a hurry.

I saw the light coming from the lighthouse and I frowned. I headed quickly to the cabin, careful of being followed.

“That was quite reckless, leaving the lights on,” I stated the moment I entered the lighthouse.

“No one would be crazy enough to be in the woods at this hour,” the voice answered.

I nodded, averting my gaze and bowing my head slightly.

“I have news, Master,” I stated.

“Speak up,” the voice urged, sounding impatient.

“Mia survived,” I stated.

The voice hissed sharply
