Chapter 39: Close Your Eyes

Beatrice fainted from the sight of Emily and Joshua falling over the waterfall.

“Beatrice! Beatrice!” shouted Brent, catching Beatrice before she hits the ground.

“Aunt Beatrice!” shouted Jack.

“Aunt Beatrice?” questioned Megan. “Aunt? Are they related to this woman?”

Joshua and Emily were both under the water again.

Joshua opened up his eyes and saw Emily in front of him trying to swim. He saw her hand trying to reach for the surface, but her body wasn’t going anywhere. He swam over to her and grabbed her by the waist and took her back up to the surface of the water.

They were both panting and gasping for air.

“Oh, thank goodness, we’re safe. We’re safe from that deep fall,” panted Joshua.

“Thank goodness, we made it,” said Emily, gasping for air.
