48. Countermeasures

Marcus’ POV

My plan to get Derrick to hook up with Lillian had blown up like an atomic bomb, and now, the smoke from the explosion had filled the entire room, threatening to choke me. I immediately created countermeasures to keep my secret hidden, but it was beginning to seem like everything and everyone was against me. It was as if they already knew.

First of all it was Kathie and Trisha who suggested that we go to the hospital. I managed to come up with a believable excuse why they shouldn't do that and I also sent for a maid to treat them here.

Mrs Zoey, who was my way of solving the problem, had become a whole new problem on her own. She wouldn't stop blabbing about how we need to go to the hospital to conduct blood tests. It was even worse when she confirmed to Tallulah that the medical personnels would still be available by this time. All she had to do is give her the damn pills and leave for goodness sake.
