52. His Annoying Apologies

Tallulah's POV

“Can't sleep.” He asked as I poured myself a drink.

“Yeah.” I replied.

“Same here.”

I filled the cup to the brim, and with one gulp, I drank every bit of it, my eyes rolling back as I took in all its content. The glass dropped from my face to see Marcus still staring at me.

Then a smirk tugged at either side of his lips with his eyes scanning my body.

“What?!” I asked, trying not to return the smile.

“It's nothing.” He said, taking some steps forward.

I hated how he always did this same thing when we were alone in a room. He would get closer and closer until there was no way to stop myself from falling from his charms. Also, it was his eyes, the way they fixed on me without wavering even after I had called him out for it.

It was obvious that he loved seeing my body respond to his silent stare just like he was doing now. The smile on his face showed that he enjoyed the falter in my gaze and the way I was fidgeting with my fingers which were curled around the carton of m
