Eulalia is Taking Pregnancy-Sustaining Medication

Percival, heeding the doctor's advice, didn't touch Eulalia anymore. But his hand still rested on her waist, like a sated king after a feast. He patted Eulalia's cheek and said contentedly, "You were way better just now than lying on the bed motionless before. Keep it up."

Eulalia smirked but didn't say anything. When she was sincere, he despised her; now that she's faking it, he actually likes it.

Percival grabbed his clothes and went to take a shower. Eulalia picked up the photo album from the floor, dusted off the non-existent dust, and carefully put it back where it belonged.

Percival didn't fully trust Eulalia's words. Once in the bathroom, he called Dr. Kruso.

The doctor answered, sounding puzzled, "Mr. Dunraven, what's the matter at this late hour?"

"Can I share a room with Eulalia?"

"Has your wife's period ended?" Dr. Kruso asked.

Percival's eyes darkened, "It should be over."
