-Mortal World-
*Third Person's POV*
Queen Maurice the queen of Citrine is on her way to her husband's hunting lodge. It's the King's tradition to stay there every winter to go hunting. The queen was very excited to see her husband after two weeks of being away. She can no longer wait for his return, so she thought of visiting him herself. She ignored the cold breeze and the snow storm that they are experiencing in the middle of the woods. She thought of the things she will do when she arrives there. She's going to give her husband a tight hug and prepare a nice soup for him.
While having this thoughts, she heard a loud thud. She was surprised especially when she heard commotions outside. She opened her carriage and asked her lady-in-waiting Kaira who's obviously panicking.
"What's going on Kaira?" the Queen asked worriedly.
"There were wild animals who attacked one of our guards," she answered while trembling. The queen was shocked. How could those wild animals attack when she's in a hurry to see her husband and while they're in the middle of a snow storm?
"Tell the guards to kill those beasts immediately!" She ordered before she hurriedly closes her carriage. She can't deny to herself that she's also panicking. She had a trauma with wild animals when she was still young. Those beasts attacked her home and killed both her mom and dad. It was her luck that a hunter came and saved her. If not for that hunter she might be dead by now and she would never have a chance to meet the king and be his wife.
The commotion lasted for almost an hour before it finally stopped. The queen was busying herself with the book she brought from the palace to minimize her boredom and to avoid possible panick attack. She opened the door of her carriage when she heard a knock. It was Kaira with a smile of victory plastered on her face.
"We're safe now your Highness. The guards managed to shoo them away," she said happily. But her mood changed when she saw that the sun is about to disappear.
"Your Highness, we have to hurry. It's getting late and the woods is not a safe place for us to stay during the night!" she said worriedly.
"She's right your Highness. We can't see the wild animals properly during the night. So we have to hurry before the sun sets." Her trusted eunuch suddenly appeared behind Kaira.
"Very well then, tell the guards to start moving so that we could leave this place immediately," she ordered. They both nodded in response before carrying her order to the guards.
Halfway to their destination the Queen heard a baby's cry. At first she thought she was just hallucinating so she tried to ignore it. But she heard it again for the second time around. It's as if calling her.
"Stop the carriage!" she shouted that made everyone worried.
"What's wrong your Highness?" Kaira asked worriedly.
"Did you hear something?" the Queen asked her.
"Like what your highness?" Curiosity was written all over Kaira's face. She did not hear anything except for the sound of ruffling bushes which is normal because of the snow storm.
"I can hear a baby crying right now," the Queen stated. Kaira was horrified with what the Queen said. How could their Queen hear a baby's cry while she's not?
"There's something creepy in this place. We must leave immediately!" Kaira said but the Queen objected. She's really bothered by the baby's cry so she stepped out of her carriage to look for the baby herself.
"Your highness where are you going?" Kaira and her Eunuch Seve asked in unison.
"I'm going to check on the baby," the Queen answered while still trying to figure out where the cry is coming from.
"But it's not safe!" Kaira tried to stop her but the Queen was unstoppable. She really wanted to save the baby. She can't just trust anyone because she's the only one who could hear the little one's cry.
Kaira knew she could not stop their Queen so she ended up following her to keep her safe. Some guards followed them as well. They walked through a lot of trees covered with snows and they were already trembling because of the cold weather. But the Queen really wants to save the baby so she ignored the cold and the heavy snow.
She focused on the baby's cry and she knows that she's already near. She heard the cry from a big tree that's located in the heart of the forest. She hurriedly went there to check on it. And she was not mistaken for she saw a baby covered with silk and was carefully placed inside a basket.
She quickly took the baby and carry it in her arms.
"Hush now little one, you are safe now." The baby stopped crying as if comforted by the Queen's words.
"Your highness are you going to keep that baby?" Kaira asked worriedly. The baby is a stranger for her since they have no idea about it's real parents and where on earth did it come from. She's afraid that the baby might cause harm to the queen.
"Ofcourse Kaira. There's a reason why I found this little baby here," the queen said with glee. Kaira just nodded in response. "Maybe I am really destined to be her mother. Finally! The Goddess of childbirth Hera heard my cries. She have given me a wonderful gift!" the queen added with excitement and happiness in her voice.
"We need to go back to your carriage your highness ,it's really cold in here." Kaira was trembling so bad.
"Sure, but before we go I want you to keep everything that happened today a secret. This baby is our child and I don't want to hear any rumors saying that she's adopted. Is it clear to all?" the queen reminded them.
"Yes your highness!" everyone answered.
And from that day onwards the Queen take very good care of the mysterious baby that she found in the middle of a snow storm.
*Third person's pov* 16 years have passed since that day and the baby have grown into a beautiful and kindhearted princess. She was named Princess Ana Mae by the king and queen. They shower her with love and the whole kingdom adored her for her beauty and kindness. At first, the king was shocked to see her wife carrying a baby in her arms. But because of his love for her he have learned to accept the child and love her like his own daughter. He knows that his wife have longed for a daughter for such a very long time. But she can't bear a child no matter how much they tried. So he thought that Ana Mae is the answer for all their prayers. "Good morning mom and dad!" the princess said happily as she greeted her parents who have just started eating breakfast. She just came down from her room in the west win
*Princess Ana Mae's Pov* I stayed in my room all day to avoid Amira. It's not like I'm afraid of her, I just want our family to have peace. I love her because she's my cousin and I don't want to see her living a miserable life. Father will surely punish her for bullying me and I don't want that to happen. So I will do everything to avoid her for her own sake. "Your Highness, dinner is ready," Lean said as soon as she entered my room. I felt sad, no matter how much I tried to avoid my cousin it is still way too impossible to avoid her during dinner. Dinner in the palace is considered our family time. No one is allowed to skip dinner because it is considered as our bonding. And the only time where we get to talk about what we did during the day and some family affairs. &
*Third Person's Pov;* The whole place was covered with darkness. Dead tress, flowers and skeletons scattered everywhere. The smell of death filled the air and in the middle of a small mountain stood the palace that's covered with darkness and black roses. The whole place was guarded by dark knights and black spirits. Inside the palace their king sits comfortably in his throne with his son on his left side. "Your majesty, the oracle came with a news for you," one of the guards said as he entered the throne room where their king sits. The king was happy with that news. He have been searching for this oracle for such a very long time because he wanted to consult her about something very important. "Let her in!" he ordered.
Third Person's Pov; When morning came Prince Zion left to start his journey to find the chosen one and to fulfill his mission. He left with his most trusted servant Stefan. He created a wings with the use of his power so he could fly into the air. His wings are made of blazing blue fire and anyone who touches it will automatically melt due to the too much pressure in it. While his servant Stefan used his magic wand so he could fly as well. Stefan is the only one left from his clan. He is a black wizard from the kingdom of Ethmus in the mortal world. He and his clan were peacefully living in the forest located in the west part of Ethmus when Hera the queen of the Gods attacked them and killed everyone except him. He managed to escape using his invisibility spell and found refuge in Velion's kingdom. He promised to be lo
*Princess Ana Mae's Pov;* "I just hope we're not going to encounter your evil cousin your highness," Leana mumbled after we finished preparing ourselves for school. Today is our first day in this University and I just hope that everything will turn out well. "How I wish the Gods would listen to your plea Leana," I answered. I'm not afraid of Amira but I just don't wanna start a war early in the morning and especially that it's our first day in class. That would be terrible! "Surely they will," she said in an almost whisper tone. I wasn't able to hear her words properly because she's standing near the door of our room while I'm fixing my bed before we leave for our first class.
*Third Person's Pov;" "Your highness are you okay?" Stefan asked Prince Zion as soon as they enter their room. He noticed that the prince is in deep thoughts. "Of course I am," the prince answered in a low tone. He then took the amulet from his pocket and started to scan it. "Is there something wrong with the amulet?" Stefan asked worriedly. He really felt that there's something strange with the prince's actions. "This amulet lit up the moment our shoulders touched. Maybe none of you sees it, but I have seen it in my peripheral vision. I noticed how my pocket sparkled," Prince Zion explained. Stefan went silen
*Princess Ana Mae's Pov* Days have passed after that incident but I still can't get Zion out of my mind. His bravery and the willingness to save me is something that I really admired him for. I was lucky he was there, I could have died if he did not come to save me. But the thing that bothers me the most is how on earth a beast like that could really exist? It feels so unreal for me. But the fact that it was about to kill me gives me goosebumps. "Your highness, it's almost time for our first class," Leana reminded me. "Oh! I'm sorry Leana, I almost forgot!" My mind is occupied by Zion and that beast that I forgot about the time.
*Princess Ana Mae's Pov* After hearing what Leana said, I was left staring at the prince and princess of the other two kingdoms. I don't know how to react, I'm afraid they won't like me just like my cousin Amira who despises me so much. They both walk towards my direction with a smile on their faces. "So, the rumors are true. The crown princess of Citrine is finally studying here!" the princess spoke and I can see happiness and excitement in her crystal blue eyes. "Yes," I answered nervously. I don't know why I suddenly felt nervous, probably because it's my first time to come face to face with other royals.
