I would love to say I was surprised that Emerald had tried to run again after seeing something that she took the wrong way, but I wasn’t. I knew those two boys would have a hard time convincing her they were different. I truly think she wants to give this a chance, but everything that has been told to her pops into the front of her brain, and it overrides her rational thinking. I was surprised by Nate’s question about a spell being placed on her. Nalena was right about Emerald being too powerful for them to cast a spell on her.
