Alexander felt as if his dream was playing right in front of him. God must be really playing some kind of wicked trick with him. There is no way that an omega of his dreams exist in reality too. It felt surreal. What kind of tricks was God playing on him?

He stared at the omega for a couple of seconds , probably making the omega shift in her seat. He didn't even know that he was looking like a creep at the moment but he somehow pulled himself away from the trance. The waitress came to take the order and they ordered two iced vanilla latte .

Alexander ignored how the waitress smiled at him in a not so friendly way but rather in 'hey ! Can we meet up in an empty alley?' way. He was used to this look. He was a regular victim of this look. The one who sat in front of him is way more important than anyone else.

Eleanor was beautiful as he remembered. She was brunette in reality too which was a pleasant thing. Brown suits her well. He would have been a little sad if she was not exactly identical to his dream.

He however had no idea as to why he had never seen Eleanor around considering how eager his mother was for this date. It seems like his mother had known Eleanor for a long time but why didn't she introduce her to him earlier?

" So…" He began because sitting awkwardly for too long was not good etiquette and besides he was dying to know Eleanor. "What do you do for a living?" Well, that was not the question one should use for a startup, especially on a date. He regretted it immediately when he saw the surprise look on her face. She looked taken aback by his bluntness but she smiled nonetheless.

" I work at a Cafe at the end of this street." She said, A blush formed on her cheeks as if she was ashamed of her job.

Her voice… It was exactly the same as the dream. It was melodious and felt like warm sunshine. He wanted to cringe at his own poetic thoughts but he couldn't help it. He already fell in love with her voice. He could get drunk in her voice.

" That's great. I think the job suits you. " He said even without thinking, which was very odd of him but it seems that all the rationality left his system as soon as he saw Eleanor in front of him. It sounded rude. It sounded as if he was being sarcastic towards her but that was not the case. Before he could explain himself he was distracted by the omega again.

He heard a chuckle from her as she cocked her head to the other side. The waitress decided to make her entry again but the both ignored her as she placed their orders in front of them.

" Suits me?" She asked. " What do you mean?"

"It might sound rude of me but you have an aura around you that suits your job. I don't know how to explain this." He chuckled, awkwardly but Eleanor had a grin on her face and that made Alexander think that she was not freaked out of him.

" Okay… I would take that as an answer from you. " She said as he leaned forward and closed her lips around the straw of her iced vanilla latte. Alexander gulped when his mind played the dream of him kissing those pink lips. He took a deep breath as he looked elsewhere , that was until Eleanor said again. " I've told you about Me. Tell me about you too."

Alexander never felt as anxious as he felt now. He had introduced himself a couple of times in his thirty years of life but it felt as if it was the first time.

" Alexander White. CEO of a company that my dad used to run. " he said and hated immediately at how clinical his introduction sounded.

" Well, we are totally opposite from each other, aren't we?" She questioned with a hint of humour in her voice .

" I assume you are right." Alexander said before taking a sip of his iced vanilla latte. " But at least we have the same taste in coffee. That is a relief." He joked which was a major shock to himself. He never joked and for that Isaac used to call him a poker faced robot.

But he recovered from the shock almost immediately when he heard a sound giggle coming from his date.

God…

Even her laugh sounded like music to his ears and he can't even hate himself for being so poetic because his thoughts were true.

The date went by quite well. Alexander tried to joke some more and ended up either gaining himself a giggle from the omega or getting extremely embarrassed by his own joke.

Throughout the date, Alexander learned that Eleanor was an orphan as her parents died three years ago and that she was still an engineering student. He also got to know that her dream is to open her own cafe. There was a stark difference in her dream and her studies. He badly wanted to know the reason for her choices but decided that those questions were for the next time.

Next time…

When he had stepped in the cafe, he was so sure that he would end up leaving the date as soon as possible. But here he was, already looking for a meeting next time.

" So…" He started as they stepped out of the cafe . The climate was a bit chilly and he noticed how Eleanor hugged herself to shield herself from the wind. He clenched his jaw when he felt his Alpha fight to hug her close to himself and provide the warmth that she needed.

" Alexander, I enjoyed our date. You are everything an omega would want her Alpha to be. But I don't think I could marry you." She said, her voice low and hesitant. She was speaking too quickly as if it was a burden on her chest and Alexander felt his wolf immediately saddened at the rejection. "Ava asked me to go on a date with her son and I couldn't say no, so I agreed. " she justified. " You are amazing but I want to focus on my dream and my career. I hope that you understand me. "

Her words almost felt like a plea as if she was feeling bad for rejecting him. She sounded so sincere that he couldn’t even be mad at her. Even though he was not mad at her, it still felt weird being rejected. It was new to him. It has always been him who would reject other.

He had come to this date with an intention of rejecting and here he was, facing his first rejection.

Oh. How the tables have turned!
