POV

I walk out of the station after my shift, I see Axel in a jeep. He smiles widely when he sees me coming out.

I shake my head and walk up to his car, I get in and close the door.

When I look over at him, when he hasn’t started the car yet, he is looking at me expectantly. I frown. “What’s wrong with your face?” I ask him.

Sighs dramatically. “Look here I picked you up from work and I want a thank you Sadie” he complains…

I try not to laugh when I look at him. I nod. “Of course. I apologise. Where are my manners. I would like to formally apologize for not thanking you. Thank you, Axel, for taking time out of your busy day to fetch me from work.”

He narrows his eyes at me, when he’s satisfied, he nods and starts the car.

He turns on the radio, I nod listening to the song. Axel does not speak the entire way over.
