Chapter XXIX

"I'm in the city, do you have time to spare, son?" 

Lucas looked at his wristwatch. It's almost time to go home. "Of course, Dad. Tell me where you are."

"I'm in a restaurant near your office. I'm attending a Minister's meeting tonight so I won't hold you for long."

Lucas thought of Dana so he called Ace after talking to his father. 

"I'm going out first to meet my dad. I need you to make sure Dana gets home safely tonight. File it as overtime."

"No need, Sir," Ace smiled. "Don't worry, I'll take care of Dana."

He dismissed him before his smile turns into a teasing one. Ace wasn't just an employee for Lucas. He was his most trusted friend. And only a few know that. For one, they don't go out together to drink but sometimes, they would sit down and share the gospel with each other.
