My heart was still racing inside my chest. **I was alone. The darkness hugged everything around me like a warm blanket. I knew there was no one here. Only the sound of my raspy breaths echoed in the darkness, I had no clue about where I was. The ticking sound of the clock filled the emptiness of my room. It was mocking me..it was mocking my inability to leave the place.I still had no idea about the red moon or what Alpha Orion was planning. Time was running out. Red moon was approaching fast....just two months and I had no idea about it. I knew nothing about the stories except for the one told by Bernadette. The story she told me...had many flaws. Werewolves were not weak, they could defend themselves. A pack no matter how peaceful they were... could have protected themselves. Someone should have survived. I glanced at the clock...it was 10 am. I had to wait for another hour. I knew Bernadette's routine by heart...she would leave in almost an hour for the pack visit. The tension in the dining room was thick enough to be cut with a knife easily. Everyone could sense it. It was the first time I was having dinner in the dining room with everyone else. Alpha Orion was sitting at the chair which clearly belonged to him at the corner, on the other end, Luca was sitting. They both seemed to be busy in their glaring battle.Bernadette had asked me to have my meals here but I always refused knowing well it was not my place.I was sitting on the left side of Alpha Orion while on his right Bernadette was sitting, who kept passing me comfortable smiles in between. "Why would I do anything for the King's stepbrother?" Alpha Orion's eyes were fixed on the road which was almost empty with trees on either side of the road. I kept on wondering where this road would lead us to. There were no boards or anything that could give me a hint. I had no clue if we were going out of the pack or if we were still in the pack. "You saved his life," I commented. He gave me a side look and then turned his eyes back on the road without saying anything else. "I know exactly what you are doing.""
