HEAVEN/ DAMIEN

"What are you doing?" Damien's voice cut into my thoughts.

My head was bent over as I stared at the text trying to process the text.

Different thoughts were going through my head. Who was this? Why was the person talking about missing them?

I lifted my head, plastering a smile on my face. "Uh... nothing," I shook my head trying to maintain the smile on my face but it was faltering.

I was not going to tell him about the text. I mean, it might have been a mistake, even if I was worried about the fact that the message was actually deliberate and meant for me.

Damien's eyebrow furrowed like he noticed something was wrong. I hope he did not.

There was no way I was going to let that happen. I was not going to allow him to know what was wrong.
