Chapter 40 - David

I meet his questioning look with a smirk.

If he is trying to keep our relationship a secret from his friends, he is doing a very poor job at it.  Luckily, for him, his friends seem to be rather dense.  On the other hand, my friends are rather smart and have already figured it out.  However, I made them promise not to let Alex know. 

These secrets are really driving me crazy, but it is all worth it when I look at Alex’s cute face. 

How can someone be so cute? 

Flustered, Alex quickly turns his focus back to his books, but it is already too late.  Both Kai and Brandon have seen him and are silently laughing next to me. 

As we turn back toward the TV and the paused video game, I whisper, “Guys, don’t do that.  Can’t you see Alex is on the verge of running.  If you push him too much, he will run away from me.  I don’t want that.”
