THE BRINK.

ALPHA HERVEAUX’S POV.

The dangers of the night were out; the whole place was dark and sneaky. Not a single soul was around. The whole place was dark, and the absence of the moon didn’t go unnoticed. For once, I doubted the information Brenda gave me. It came so easily; just a few minutes after she left me, she returned overhead and came to me.

"I don’t mind; I have no other choice," I said loudly to myself to stop the non-stop pondering in my mind. I checked the whole area. The woods, underneath, and even the sea that was nearby, but there is no sign of anyone there.

"I will wait a while and leave if no one shows up," I coerced. I checked the paper she gave me again. "It’s here; I definitely am in the right place. Where are you hiding my children, Falcon?" I whispered, still searching.

"Right here!" he responded with a wild roar. He threw Miranda’s body down from the tree. "Damn you, Falcon, I knew it!" I groaned painfully. She was still alive but writhing in pain.
