I'm Human, Beloved Alpha.
I'm Human, Beloved Alpha.
Author: Joyce S Manuel

1.

Samantha's P.O.V.

I couldn’t sleep. I was wide awake, everyone else was fast asleep; all I could do was think about my life.

The billionaire heiress, who became a mere slave to an Alpha.

No one seems to be looking for me. Neither do I know who planned the attack.

"In a few months' time, Alpha herveaux's new Luna will be chosen."

"His mate was gruesomely murdered. Since then, he has been cold and brutal to everyone" Cervantes said, to me.

I do not know how I should react, when I meet Alpha Herveaux today.

Regardless,I got prepared to see Alpha Herveaux;

Cervantes is the mysterious werewolf that appeared to me the day I became 'The Alpha’s slave'.

“Cervantes !” I called out to him in fear. Right there in my room.

The girls were still fast asleep when he appeared suddenly.

I was dumbfounded and was gripped with fear, even though it wasn’t the first time.

"There's no way out!" That was Cervantes' first words to me, whispered in the cold freezing weather, that faithful, unfortunate day.

I still recall that one terrible night, after my birthday celebration party. It was late at night but I needed to be at home. I was pretty drunk and shandy.

My driver and I were double crossed, and made to stop at gun point. Denoso, my driver, was brave, he didn't pull over, he knew my life was in danger, he drove as fast as he could;

"You're bleeding, Denoso," I said, with my eyes full of fear and tear drops drilled on my musted face.

He got shot while trying to escape the armed men.

Denoso was growing weak, and couldn't keep up with the un-ending chase. The unknown gun men were closing in on us; they had a weird sense of extra-ordinary energy and aura.

A bullet got through one of my car's tire, it somersaulted repeatedly, I saw my life ending and I couldn't do anything to help.

My car fell and rolled over into a thick forest. I was able to rustle myself out of the ruins, with lots of bruises and severe cuts.

"Oh, no! I'm bleeding" "How badly could my birthday end?"

Slowly, panting and gasping for air. I managed to get to the driver's seat, he wasn't moving but I wanted  to help Denoso.

"He is dead!" All I could do was watch in pain and cry.

The armed men caught up with me, I was already weak, "Don't move, human, there's no escape for you!"

I turned around to see who was talking. All I could remember was screaming my lungs out.

I didn't know how long I stayed unconscious. When I woke up, I saw a man they called  'Fernando'.

They addressed him as the 'Beta of the Lycans prowler clan'.

"I saved you! You now belong to our Alpha."

Fixed in a state of confusion, I uttered no words. My wounds were treated by those weird creatures, and they seemed to heal really fast.

"Who are you people? and how did I get here?" I blurted out. I was still in pains, despite the fact that my wounds were healing.

Horrified by my views, I sat uprightly in haste. They obviously weren't humans but they could talk.

 Fernando ignored my question.

I was left alone, there in the dark. A stream of tears found It's way to my eyes. They flowed, as I thought and tried understanding what had happened in a short period of time?

It was so fast, and it felt like a nightmare I wanted to wake up from.

That was when Cervantes came in. He encouraged me and promised to lead me out of here, but bearing in mind that I would follow all his instructions.

"Get ready Auriel, come and see me", Cervantes said in his usual cold voice.

He told me to come over to his place. Cervantes lived in a small apartment.

Weird artifacts were hung on the wall, with a strange large silver mirror in front of the sitting room.

"Are you ready to know more about my people, you human?"

Since I knew Cervantes, he addressed me as an 'ordinary human'.

"Yes?" I answered.  "The earlier the better, I need to know the kind of people I will be dealing with."

"But I have a question for you, Cervantes" I said to him.

"I'm sure your questions are more than just one" he replied, as he walked me through the house.

"We have limited time, but I will answer questions whose time is now to be answered." He added.

"Do you mean there is a particular question for a particular time, Cervantes?"

"No, Auriel, what I meant was that, there is time for everything."

"The name of this clan is the Lycans prowler clan"

That was our beginning.

“Wear this when you meet with him today, I'll be there to guide you” he said to me.

I sneaked out of the mansion, with Cervantes' help. The guards were all busy, while some of them were fast asleep.

The loud growls and scary looks of their transformation at night scared me.

Outside the mansion, it was lively, the street lights were on and well illuminated.

Using Cervantes' description, I found the bar easily. I placed the necklace on my neck, just as he had ordered me to.

I was wearing simple joggers with a fluffy white hoodie, to cover up my hair and my face slightly.

“When you get there, you’ll know he is the one”.

Those were Cervantes' words. "I have never seen a picture of him, neither have I ever seen him. How then would I know him?"

I had no choice than to walk in the midst of the whole crowd. They couldn’t smell the real me because, of the necklace Cervantes made me wear. The last time I went out, I couldn’t get this far without a growl from an angry wolf.

My heart stopped beating suddenly. I was stuck in a spot. I felt something strange.

I tilted my head to look straight, but instead, I lost control of my body. It turned around and I saw him. Right away,I knew he was the one.

He had a clean, handsome face, with his unusual yellow eyes peering out from his long, brown greasy hair, extremely tall; having seven foot eight or thereabout.

His feet touched the ground perfectly, even though he was sitting on a long-placed golden stool.

He wore a polo t-shirt giving you a peak at his well-tanned muscled arm; slowly and swifly stroking his hairs with his hands backward, as he sipped on his drink with the other hand.

I could tell he was sad; “what should I do, Cervantes?” I asked, keen on a response I had already given myself

 “Go sit beside him!”

I don’t believe in love at first sight, so I waved all the feelings aside, “May I join you?”, I said softly, with a beaming smile.

Alpha herveaux lifted up his face to look at me, he assayed me with his beautiful eyes. He fixed his gaze on the necklace.

“Come sit beside me” his voice was deep but smooth; I sat down beside him as he requested.

He held my hands in his. It was strange we had just met for the first time and I was told he was really cold.

I couldn’t explain why he was holding my hands.

Alpha Herveaux placed my hands on his chest. I could feel nothing. His heart beat was dead;

“Do you understand me now?" he asked.

I was puzzled. “NO! I don’t.” I replied sternly.

“I’m not going to explain myself,” he said coldly. He placed his hands on my face and proceeded to kiss me; now I was more puzzled. Was he expecting someone else or did he know I was coming?

“Kiss me woman” he placed his large palms on my face, caressing them softly. I had missed this and I guess I wanted it, but not with him, I needed something else from him.

I avoided deep contact with his face;

“I was thinking you were bold, why can't you look me in the face, are you also scared of Tristan? Don’t worry. He’ll behave.” Alpha Herveaux said, I didn't even know who Tristan was.

He proceeded to kiss me, locking his lips into mine, fondly, and it grew intense, my hands found his face.

Alpha herveaux let go of me. After a few minutes, I was overwhelmed. It felt good. I still avoided direct eye contact with him, I didn’t look up to him.

“I’m done here!", he called to the bar attendant. He left me there saying no word.

I felt used, I couldn’t even do what Cervantes ordered me to do, he was the Alpha for a reason I guess. I sat down there confused.

Left alone, I summoned Cervantes,

“The alpha asked me to give this to you, he had a great time”

It was the same bar attendant. I don’t know what was in the envelope he handed over to me.

Cervantes appeared, not beside me this time. He came in unexpectedly in a disguise, but I did know and recognized him.

“Good job Auriel! The next step will be easier for us” i rolled up my eyes at Cervantes. “Good job? I didn't even get to talk to him, I gave myself up, like a fool!”

“Stop throwing a fit, it’s not like you slept with him, whatever  happened, was meant to be!"
