ALPHA HERVEAUX’S POV.

I rolled to the other side of the bed, expecting a push or a sound, but none was forthcoming; Auriel had left. It sent me a bewildering, intense feeling of sadness that swept all my happiness away.

"Don’t be sad; she probably went for the kill; only she can defeat Falcon," I consoled Tristan.

If it turns out otherwise, then I’ll just go with the flow. I am back to full strength. Before Sunrise reveals its glory, I will go and defend the city. It won’t go down with me alive.

She left the clothes she had picked out for me to wear at the extreme edge of the bed. She still cares, but maybe as a friend and not as my Luna.
