Chapter 27

After dancing with Mrs. Lewis, she commented on the ring that Lucas gave to her and she blushed. She thought her mother would never notice it but she had seen it since she invited them over at their table.

“Uhm...mother?” Josephine called and pursed her lips before speaking again, “Did you say anything to Lucas?” Of course, Josephine knew what she had said because Lucas told her, but she wanted her mother to say it herself.

Mrs. Lewis smiled and replied her, “That is between the two of us.”

Josephine smiled and then she later went to dance with the other relatives. After the dance, Josephine decided to walk back to her table where Lucas and the rest was and that was when she bumped into someone...or the person intentionally bumped into her.
