Josephine trailed her fingers on the frame and a sad smile appeared on her lips. It has been twenty five years, yet she still feels that longing. Here she was, sitting in her room, alone and remembering all the things she went through. She recalled how she wanted her life to be twenty five years ago, when she still had her mother, and she smiled at the thought of how she made it this far without her.

“Honestly mother,” Josephine spoke softly, “I wish you never left.”

Even though the announcement of the death of her mother was still something she couldn’t quite accept like that, she wished she at least had the chance to bid her goodbye. If only someone up there could search her inner feelings, if only the universe could hear her, then she would wish that all that happened to her was a dream, and none of them were real.
