Josephine planted her lips on his and she kissed it tenderly, subtly moving her lips and savoring the feeling. The moment feels different, and she knows it for sure. It wasn’t because of the pains she had felt earlier and she wasn’t using him to ease herself. It was about how she really feels this time. She can no longer pretend that she doesn’t love him; that she doesn’t care about him or want him. And maybe it was the best thing she did to let him know about it now before it was too late.

However, Lucas didn’t give her that much satisfaction as she needed. She needed him to kiss her back, passionately, like he did back at the wedding, but he was putting his guard on and controlling his kisses.

When his sharp fangs grazed her lips, he quickly pulled away but Josephine didn’t want to stop. She doesn’t care if he takes more than enough of her blood and leave her unconscious. All she wants was him and she doesn’t care what comes after. She pulled him back and took his lips in hers again
