Chapter 54

Josephine sobbed and hiccupped at the same time, releasing all the emotions that had bottled up inside of her as tears streamed down her cheeks and she started hitting her chest.

Lucas immediately went to her and held her hand to prevent her from hurting herself further as he could already detect that she was in sorrow. Holding her hand in a light grip, he saw how she continued to cry and instead of questioning her, he pulled her shoulder to himself and placed his other hand on her head before letting it rest on his chest. He knows what day it is and it hasn’t sit well with him either, but was that enough to make her hurt this much?
