REAPING-CHAPTER FORTY SIX

Disbelief was evident on his face as he said, "So, you did end up sleeping with him." His voice was filled with disgust as he looked at me as if I were filthy.

7 HOURS EARLIER,

At midday, approximately 2 pm, I found myself waiting at the airport for his arrival, gripped by guilt that was tormenting me; my heart was racing, and I had to rely on my pills more than usual. When he emerged from the crowd, looking as striking as ever, I almost felt faint. I began to question my actions, unable to face the consequences. Clearly, I wasn't thinking when I did it and I was foolishly susceptible.

He appeared wearing a fashionable face mask and sunglasses to conceal his identity. As he approached, he waved at me from a distance, and I responded with a forced smile. I discreetly took an extra pill to calm my nerves.

Upon his arrival, I greeted him with a smile and an awkward embrace, to which he reciprocated with open arms. "Are you all right?" he inquired, noticing my unease.
