Chapter 54

Celestine's POV

"What did you need to get?" I ask Joey as we step into Walmart.

"Don't tell Louis. Or Lorenzo," she warns, pointing a finger at me.

Ok, now I'm interested in what this is. I nod, agreeing to her condition.

"I'm getting a pregnancy test," she beams, practically glowing in total.

My mouth drops open, my jaw meeting the floor. It takes a while before I pick it back up. "What?!" Odd looks and glares are thrown our way. "What?!" This time lowers but still not losing the surprise that can obviously be held in my voice. "That's fucking fantastic news."

"I know," she says grinning then her smile dims. "I'm not sure though and I didn't want to tell Louis yet in case it turned out to be nothing but a false alarm."

"Let's go find out then." I take her hand, interlocking our fingers together, and drag us into a pharmacy. We head over to the counter, get the test- three different kinds just to be accurate- then find a bathroom to take them.
