“Are you sure this is a good idea? I’ve never participated in a pack hunt on this scale before.”

“You will be fine,” Liam tells me. “More than fine, actually. You must be dying to come out and run since you haven’t shape-shifted in so long.”

‘He is right, you know,’ a voice I don’t recognize says inside my head. ‘Shape-shifting is essential to a wolf, and I haven’t been running for a long time.’

I fall silent, too shocked to answer. The voice inside my head, I know what it means - special werewolves have a voice inside their head - an alter ego, if you may. I didn’t have one in my old body, but it looks like Aurora has one.

There is a giggle inside my head. ‘You can call me Aurora.’

‘Are you an inner wolf?’ I ask.
