Red POV

I squint my eyes opened, breathing out. I looked around, and I was in the penthouse. I tried to sit up, but I lay down as my body throbbed in pain. The door opened, and Maven ran inside.

“Are you okay?” she asked, helping me up and putting a pillow behind me. I looked down at my leg, and there was a cast on my right leg and scratches on my hands and arms. My left hand was in pain, so I used my right hand to touch my neck, and there was a cast on my neck.

“Why am I on two casts? My wolf should have healed me by now,” I said. She sighed.

“Yasmine used all her power to throw you into that wall; you are severely injured, and it will take 2 or 3 days to heal you,” she said. My mouth hung open.

“She has that much power over me.” I asked.

“Yes, she is a Lycan; you are a wolf. She could kill you,” she said. I sighed.

“I am not safe with her around,” I said. She shook her head.

“You are; she is powerless against you now,” she said.

“How?” I asked.
