Chapter Sixty-four: The Library.

KALIFE’S POV

He stopped running to catch his breath, his hands on his knees breathing fast as we started laughing. First, he found our little stunts so humorously and laughed, his fangs showing and his blue eyes glittering.

I always found his appearance alluring and so I smiled when I saw the expression on his face.

“We had such a good strategy, that I cannot wait to brag about it to my father when we get back home,” Liam said, still laughing, his voice echoing a little in a quiet temple.

I signaled to him, to bring his voice down and he responded immediately.

“I know we tried,” I said smiling at him, he felt encouraged and laughed again showing his fangs.

Making our way into the temple amidst those two soldiers at the entrance by the left and right is not easy. If not for the distraction Lucas caused, there's no way we would have passed.

“Let's get to the library now,” Liam said to me, returning the mood to its original state of seriousness.
