I pushed Nikolai away slightly as I staggered backwards. "It’s none of you business if I do something strenuous or not," I snapped at Lucien.

Taking a deep breath, I shifted my gaze back at Nikolai. He was looking confused at my reaction, and I instantly felt awful for treating him badly again in the presence of Lucien. He didn’t deserve that.

"Nikolai, are you going to help me with the training?" I asked lamely.

He shrugged in response. "I’m so sorry but I have to do some of my duties today. I have been neglecting it for sometime, so it’s important to fix things," he muttered.

I nodded in understanding. "That’s ok," I mumbled.

Licking my lips softly, I slowly stepped away from him, and tried hard not to trip on my own feet. I was fond of embarrassing myself and that wouldn’t do today. "I should go back to my room them," I managed.
