RUBY’S POV

We were all finally done with setting up the whole cafe and Clarissa served us all cupcakes, cookies, and a cup of her specially made smoothie just as she promised to treat us after helping her.

Then she played “Best Part” by Daniel Caesar on her bluetooth speaker before turning on the sunset lamp that Simon had helped her fix so she could give the cafe a look that seemed like the sun was setting every evening.

The atmosphere suddenly felt romantic and it made my insides tingle as I sat opposite Dax from across the table.

We watched Clarissa get up to dance before she pulled Sally along with her and we all laughed as we watched them have fun.
