RUBY’S POV

The novel was superb and I still couldn't believe I finished it all in hours.

It was already 4 pm and Arnold was walking me home while we talked about the book.

I was worried he would leave his bookstore open with no one to keep watch but after he assured me that he had staff to do the perfect job for him, I let him accompany me home because I was too excited about the book I read and wanted to talk about it with someone.

“I still can't believe it ended that way. I'm so happy they were happy though because that's all that matters to me” I chirped excitedly as we walked and he smiled while listening with rapt attention.

“I bet you were rooting for the villain at first right?” he asked and I facepalmed which made him laugh.

“In my defense, the writer made him irresistibly hot. I couldn't help but want him for her but that was until he became an asshole toward her” I explained and he nodded silently which made me wonder what he could be thinking about.
