Ryder

“Did you come from the pack house?” I asked as soon as I sighted Zane, walking steadily towards me.

“Yes. Deron and I decided to sleep over there with the guys. We figured it would be closer if you needed us.”

I nodded in understanding.“Did anyone see you leave the pack house?”

“No.”

“Good. I want this to be between us. If anyone finds out what we’re trying to do tonight, our pack will be in grave danger.” I walked as I spoke and Zane fell in step. “No one should know about this. Even your brother. Can I count on you?”

“Of course, Alpha Ryder. With my life.”

Zane was different from Trevor. He didn't question my decisions or make a fuss when I didn't indulge him with details.

We got to the garage and I dismissed my guard who walked up to us the moment he sighted me.

“Get in,” I instructed Zane, pointing to the black car. “I'll fill you in on the way.”

He did as he was instructed and strapped himself into the chair. His eyes trained on me as I drove the car out of the garage.
