Lucy's pov;

At the restaurant, I order water from the waitress before she leaves for another customer.

Matt, "Why don't we have drinks since we're meeting after a long time?" asks with an easy grin.

"I'm still not... used to the whole 'drinking ' thing,"

There was a silence that I didn't know how to break, I felt uncomfortable.

He cleared his throat and continued, "How's your father? Is he still drinking as much as ever?" He asked it with concern, I think.

I shrugged, "Not really. Because he passed away not long after when you left."

The environment was silent until Matt said, "Sorry" in almost a whisper.

I nodded and said, "Let's not talk about him ."

We smiled at each other but didn't speak. He turned to look outside, staring blankly out of the large glass window, a clouded expression on his face, he sighed softly. "What about you? How has your life been?" I asked hesitantly.
