41. End the charade

Silas walked Dashana and Rosemary back to the car, making sure they were safe and that no spies in the club would follow their car as they drove home. Before they left, he made one last promise to Rosemary, that he would bring Kiara back to her. He made sure he had to get her back, no matter what.

Dashana's car sped up and finally disappeared. He turned around and was about to head to his own car in the parking lot when suddenly, out of nowhere, Eudora popped in front of his face. Silas swore he had neither seen her here before nor seen her approach him.

"Eudora," he said, being surprised, but then immediately neutralizing his face when he knew there was nothing to worry about since Dashana and Rosemary had already left the club.

Wait, but did she see them earlier?

Before he could ask, Eudora opened her mouth, in that demanding tone she always used when talking to him, "And who was that?"

'Well, she saw.'

He really had no reason to be afraid anyway, as she did not overhear their
