Chapter 26 Logan’s POVI was vibrating with anger, as I watched Hazel plead for me to leave her alone. I waited for her, even left Cassie and what do I get in return? Betrayal. Her tears did nothing to me. What would it have taken her to reject his offer? Instead, she made me feel like a fool. I decide to be nice and she trashes my effort. " You little whore!" I spat. "I bet you wouldn't hesitate to spread your legs for him." She gasped, " How dare you accuse me of being a whore?" She replied. I shot her a fiery stare, which she mirrored. Her innocent face helped to mask her despicable attitude. A wolf in sheep's clothing. She coughed loudly while rubbing her sore neck. Good, she would also feel what I felt. I had never felt so much rage in my entire life. She was dangerous to my sanity. It took a lot for me not to end Jasper's life. I almost throttled her too.I pointed a finger at her," I don't want to see you with that god-forsaken boy." I warned. She lifted her chin defiantly
Hazel’s POV" That would be all for today, Miss Hazel. If you have any other complaints, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I'd love to hear from you." He said. " Thank you very much, sir." I smiled. His questions were refreshing, and for the first time, I felt safe. It looked like he genuinely cared about his patient. He adjusted his stethoscope, "Would you like to wait in the reception, since we are done? The results come out tomorrow ." He reminded me." Okay." I spent almost thirty minutes waiting for Logan in the reception. I was also bored out of my mind. I tapped my foot and watched a show that was airing on the TV. " Hello, ma'am." I went to the nursing station. A nurse looked up from the computer, " Good afternoon, Miss Hazel. How may I help you?" She smiled politely." Did you see the Alpha Son pass by?" I asked. It was almost an hour and he hadn't returned. I was beginning to get worried. She nodded. "Yeah, I saw him leaving. I think he was in a hurry." She rep
Hazel’s POV" Hazel, wait!" Logan kept calling my name but I ignored him. His horn blared loyal behind me but I still refused to reply to him. How would he run back to Cassie? At this point, I was done. If he wanted to go with her, then he was free to go ahead. He stopped shouting my name when he saw that I had no intention of answering him. He drove off, while I continued walking down to school. I arrived very early today, and I headed straight to class to write the assignment that I skipped last night. The classes flew over my head. I was sick to the stomach when I saw both of them together in the front row. "Miss, Hazel are you here with us?" Mr. Liam asked." Yes, sir." " What do you have to say about the world war (iii)?" He asked, we were having history. I smiled sheepishly, " Umm... I'm sorry my attention was divided." He nodded, " I can see that. I'll repeat this explanation because I want everyone to get it. You will be taking an assignment on this." He said while giving
Hazel's POVI was so happy to be so high in the air. I felt like I was flying. I felt free.In the corner of my eye, however, I saw Logan. I gulped in fear. I watched him as he walked a way with a sour look on his face. It spelt trouble for me.Jasper was unaware of what was going on. He was too happy about winning the game. I was happy for him too. I knew he deserved a spot on the team, even more than Logan. He took me by my hand and pulled me away. We walked happly off the pitch and to the changing rooms. He was covered in dirt and gime and was in desperate need of a shower."Hazel, you sit here while I change. I'll be out in a minute."He smiled at me and I felt colour come to my cheeks as I blushed. He disappeared into the changing room and I sat outside all alone. The thought of the look on Logan's face crossed my mind again. He looked like he was going to devour me if I came home. I could feel my fingers trembling at the mere thought of what he could do to me. It was a bad idea t
Hazel’s POV I couldn't remember how long I was out. All I could remeber was that I was laying on Jasper's knees and he was stroking my hair. My eyes fluttered open and I looked at him. He looked scared and relieved at the same time."Hazel, thank God. I was worried. What happened to you? Are you okay?"I sat up. We were now sitting on the bleachers of the football pitch. The pitch was empty and the sun had gone down a little. It was quite close to disappearing over the horizon."How long was out?""Almost thirty minutes. Are you sure that you are alright? "I tried to stand up but he pulled me to sit back down."Hazel, no, you need to rest. Sit. I got you some water. Drink. Do you need an aspirin or something? I have a few in my bag."He began to rummage through his bag but I stopped him."No need for the aspirin. I'm fine. I would like some water though."He passed me the bottle of water and I took a long and big gulp. I really needed it. My lips were parched.I handed him back the b
Hazel's POVMy heart stopped and I stared from Jasper to Logan and back. This was bad, really bad. Neither of them loosened their grip and they pulled slightly harder like I was a rope in a dangerous game of tug-of-war. They could rip my arms right off.Logan scoffed and gave Jasper a threatening faux smile."You know something Jasper. You really think that you are something, don't you? Taking my spot on the football team, going out with 'my girl'. You have some nerve."Jasper was silent but the tension in his aura was foreboding. I could feel heat building around him and a tiny glint in his eyes. His wolf was awakened."I am going to say this and say this once. Let go of her Logan. I'm warning you."He spoke under his breath, staring into Logan's soul but he was defiant.Suddenly, Logan yanked me harder and I was torn away from Jasper's grip. I felt heart plummet as I saw the fury on Jasper's face as I was pulled away from him outside the restaurant with people staring at me. I strugg
It was dark and then I woke with fright. The walls were white and it smelled strongly of disinfectant. Where was I?I sat up and was immediately blinded by a bright flash of light from the light bulb. I didn't notice it before.I looked around. I was alone. The last thing I remembered was the screech of a car and then everything went black. The door flung open and a man in a white coat came in. It was a doctor. I was in a hospital. How did I get there?"Miss Hazel, you are awake. We are glad. We were all worried for a second. You had a nasty accident, was hit by a Ford truck. Luckily you had very minor injuries and you have been out cold for a while. How do you feel?"I sat up further and the room began to look clearer. My body throbbed and my head was aching. I looked at my elbows and there were a few scratches but there was nothing serious."I feel a bit weak. Other than that, I am fine."The doctor nodded and scribbled on his book."Good. I will write a presciption and give it to th
Logan's POVI watched her leave angrily and then I turned to Jasper angrily. I pushed him roughly but he stood his ground, glaring and snarling at me."What was that for?!""You imbecile! This is all your fault!"He glared at me and then stormed out. The doctor stood in the room and he looked thoroughly scared. I turned to him and scoffed and stormed out as well. I sat in the lobby and held my head in my hands as the events replayed my mind.I was beating Jasper when the car hit her. But by the time I realized it was too late. I was terribly worried about her. It was all Jasper's fault. If that idiot hadn't been involved with her, none of this would have happened in the first place. I was going to deal with him soon enough.I was relieved that she was okay. As I continued to sit and think when my phone rang. I picked it up and looked at the screen. It was Dean. I wondered what he wanted. I pressed the green button and put the phone up to my ear."Dean.""Logan, how are you doing? I wan
