Stepping into my personal sitting room, also known as my parlour, I walked up to Amara and asked her, "I hope you're not angry with my mother?"

Amara frowned, her pretty face showing her displeasure, but she did not respond. I knew she must be thinking about the reason I had kissed her the previous night.

"Amara," I tried to call her name, and she quickly said, "I am not angry."

"Hmm," I sighed and walked away to my bedroom door. I paused and informed Amara, "You're not going to the company today. Based on your punishment yesterday for making me look for you, I cannot take that risk again today to avoid you going missing. My father wouldn't take it kindly with me."

Amara stood up from the couch and walked up to me. She said, "I cannot stay at home with your mother. She doesn't like me. That brings to my mind, my friend offered me a job at her father's firm. While I am still here, I think it's best I switch to her company since you don't want me here. I can also move
