Once Luke put Vera to bed, he admired her for a quick moment and then sat back on the single chair he seemed to claimed earlier.
He was going to sleep there.
He didn’t want to leave his children.
Not because he didn’t trust Vera.
It was true that he barely knew her.
But he did completely trust her.
He just didn’t want to seem like a bad father in front of her.
He didn’t care if it was anyone else. He didn’t care about what others thought of him.
It was her that he only care about what she thought of him.
It has only ever been Her.
The children woke up early because they had gone to sleep quite early.
Luke sensed his children were awake.
His automatic response was to look over at the woman who has taken up all of his thoughts. The woman who was asleep on the bed.
He could tell that she was still in a deep sleep.

Luke was watching the scene between Vera and Aiden.It drove him insane with jealousy.Luke knew Aiden’s reputation.It wasn’t as bad as his, being classed as the arrogant asshole who no one dares to cross.Aiden was a player though. For a moment, they both sipped their coffee. Vera thought it was a nice strong one. Something she needed, she thought. After Vera sipped her coffee, she looked up to Luke. She was waiting to see what he wanted to say. ‘There was something that I wanted to ask you. It’s more a favor.’ Luke began. He wasn’t sure how Vera was going to react. And therefore, it made him a little nervous to ask. ‘A favor?’ He heard Vera. The look in her eyes were unsure. ‘I don’t know you well enough for favors.’ He knew it wasn’t going to be easy. But he wasn’t done trying. ‘Vera, you know that I am not out to hurt you.’ Luke began, keeping his voice gentle. The rest of the day, Verastayed by her desk.She had thought that, it had been a good day. Not too stressful. Just what she wanted.And when she came back to her desk after having a lunch break, she found a set of keys waiting on her desk.She was glad to have a car. Josh drove through the coffee shop and ordered the desired orders of his boss and Miss Rayne. He also ordered himself one too.And then he drove to the bookstore.This made Josh smile at the thought of his boss and Miss Rayne in the bookstore, hanging around each other.He thought it would be a cute date.However, when Josh had parked the car, he was surprised to see that his friend wasn’t going to accompany Miss Rayne.He watched as she hopped out of the car and walked towards the bookstores building.And then he turned to his friend.‘I’m surprised that you didn’t go after her, Luke.’ Josh had said with a slight grin.‘Why?’ Luke said back.He was trying to play dumb with his friend.And Josh knew it.‘I am not stupid, Luke. When Luke stepped into his office, he found Josh waiting on the lounge sipping his coffee.Though when Josh saw Luke step in, he stood up out of respect.‘Please sit down, my friend.’ Luke said. His voice cheery.Josh sat down with a smile on his face.He liked this, Luke.He liked the easy-going Luke.‘Should we plan this fake date?’ Josh asked, sipping his coffee.‘I think we should leave it for just my floor. I want you to find out if Vera has a charity and donate the whole proceeding to it.’‘of course,’ Josh says.‘It also can not be too early. Maybe three weeks away,’ Luke said.Now he was mostly just thinking out loud.He knew it couldn’t be this week or even next week.He knew the trust had to build up a little more.He could feel that she was starting to.And that just made him happy.It truly did.
