Once Luke put Vera to bed, he admired her for a quick moment and then sat back on the single chair he seemed to claimed earlier.

He was going to sleep there.

He didn’t want to leave his children.

Not because he didn’t trust Vera.

It was true that he barely knew her.

But he did completely trust her.

He just didn’t want to seem like a bad father in front of her.

He didn’t care if it was anyone else. He didn’t care about what others thought of him.

It was her that he only care about what she thought of him.

The children woke up early because they had gone to sleep quite early.
