Chapter 49

Sara's POV

I was in a mall dressed in designers clothing bought by my very exquisite husband. And he was putting on me an extra layered jacket with enough heat to keep me warm to the point to sweating even whilst it was raining.

“Davis,” I tried to say. “I'll be fine with one jacket, the rain isn't that heavy.”

“I just don't want you to get sick.” He said. He himself was only wearing pant trousers, and a turtle neck shirt.

“I'll be fine, I promise.” I told him. “Let the facts confirm it,” he said. And I was shut out of words to tell him.

Davis received a phone call and I understood from the back and forth conversation that the pilot that Davis had made a deal with told us it was best to suspend our travel to tomorrow due to the rain and wind.

All these disruptions were caused by nature so we could do little about it.

“Let's lodge at an hotel for the night, then tomorrow we can home.” Davis said.

I nodded. The mall we were in had a section where we could buy food.
