Truce

Ember's POV

Immediately I saw him stalking toward me, and I maintained my position, pretending to be interested in the sands. It was very fun to watch him almost popping a vein.

He couldn't brush me off and expect that I would accept him with all heartiness.

"What's the meaning of the stunt you just pulled in front of my subordinates?" He inquired and I shrugged calmly, happy that he was vibrating.

"Alpha Trent, I've not done anything wrong or something that you wouldn't do. I needed some fresh air and I came to get it surely that doesn't count as a crime right?" I asked sarcastically. We all knew that there wasn't one anywhere in the world, hence the reason for his annoyance.

"You defied your Alpha that's an offence punishable by law."

"To make your children comfortable. I felt stifled in there, I needed some fresh air. Surely you would be considerate to the mother of your children right?" I added so that he'd be hurt the more.
